Zune Song Timer Glitch

September 23, 2008

So I downloaded version 3.0 for my Microsoft Zune, and to be honest I was expecting for it to be a big update since it went from 2.5 to 3.0. So I downloaded it and yeah I had a problem right off the bat. "Wow!!" I thought, another of Microsoft's smart moves that they try to fix something that's not broken. When I played songs the meter that shows what time the song is at won't move. It's just stuck at 0:00 and the song is still playing, well that's nice. Since then I've been trying to mess with it and nothing until today. I was reading some blogs and people were having other issues with their zune and they mentioned that they would just reset it and it would work fine after that. So i tried that and wow it actually worked!! I was already planning to format my zune and then put all my music and videos back on it. So yeah that just saved me like 3hrs of work.

Another thing from the update is that they made the font smaller on the main menu. Which doesn't bother me since I thought that the font was too big anyways. Microsoft also added radio song tagging. So when you're on the radio and you like a song, you just tag it and it goes to your "cart" which is also on your zune. The next time you connect your zune to the net it will appear in your cart so you can buy it and download it. Which is a nifty feature since the satellite radios have that feature. Another cool thing is that they added a clock, FINALLY!! It's really handy so when you're listening to a song you just hold back and the time is in the top right corner of the zune.

They also added a "zune pad" edit featue, so you can disable the touch on the pad or the movement of the D-Pad on the zune. I've been using it regular since I got it and I've never had a problem so I'm not going to mess with that. So yeah they have added some cool stuff to the zune which is just making more people turn away from the iPods and making them buy zunes.

Storms Around San Antonio, TX

July 28, 2007

Ok yeah i know i really haven't been updating this site and i don't think that anyone cares but thats cool. Yeah around San Antonio, TX there have been some severe storms hit around that area. We've had more rain this year than all the years past. Some sceptics blame it on global warming, but that really doesnt make any sense if you think about it.

Isn't global warming suppose to melt? And isnt global warming suppose to cause the earth to get to higher temperatures? Me personally i dont' believe in global warming. I think that its just bogus, and that some one made it up just to cause a rukus. How on earth can we compare temperatures from the early 1900s? Do the scientist know that in the early 1900s they didnt have the technology that we have now. So yeah its a great possibility that they could have messed up on the readings by a few degrees. The few degrees that our politicians are claiming that its "global warming"

So yeah global warming in my opinion is just a bogus phenomenon that someone has put in the minds of my fellow americans, and the dumb thing is that many people are believing it.

Creative Launches Inexpensive MP3 Player

May 3, 2007

yeah creative has come out with a really inexpensive mp3 player, its like $56 dollars. Yeah its almost like the iPod shuffle's size, so yeah Creative is aiming at the young kids, fitness people, skateboarders, etc, basically the people that are on the go, and that need a small mp3 player.

So yeah those of you that are looking at a small mp3 player, this could be the one for you. Creative mentions that it can store 500 songs, records songs at 64kbps, and the battery is mentioned to last a good 10hrs. Yeah pretty good for when your on the go.

Another thing that they mention was that the Creative's spokespeople are saying that they're going to be Apples biggest rivals. They mention that since Apple is not pushing the shuffle right, and they will be soon thanks to Creative and they're new inexpensive mp3 player. So yeah ya'll go check that out.

Myspace Spams and Hacks

May 1, 2007

So i im guessing most of ya'll already know what myspac is, "a place for friends". Well not entirely. Its more of a place that has weird online stalkers, full with teen drama, losers that claim to know "1,000,000,000" friends on their friends list, and full of spam!! One way to tell that if a bulletin that your friend posted is spam is to check the message. "Check the message?", you ask, yup! Just open the message and then around the top or bottom of the message should say something like "c455t" or "d3556" just some weird combination of numbers. If it has that and a link to go somewhere, like to get "free ringtones", or a "free jcpenny card" you know definately thats spam and if you end up clicking on it it'll sign you out of myspace. But heres where they get you.

Once you're signed out your like, "What, i was just on myspace!!", so then the naive people just put their password in, no problem. But what you've really done is just basically gave your password away to some weirdo thats making all of this spam. You just basically game him your email address, and your password. So then what happens is that you see bulletins that you've posted that you really didnt post, and so then if your friends see that bulletin more than likely they're gonna click on it.

So then once you get "infected" by this spam its just gonna keep shooting it all over myspace, all to your friends, and to your uncle. But theres hope! There is a way to stop it, its the miracle solution. JUST CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD!! Its soo easy, these dumb spammers can be stopped because they're amateurs, they dont know how to really spam, they're just losers sitting in their moms basement, still living at home at age 40, just spamming the people that dont know that computer security is very important.

So in order to stop the spamming to your friends, and to the myspace community, is just to simply change your password, and make sure that you don't change it back. If you do, you will get spam sent out to your friends again, becausey our password and username are saved in the spammers servers. So yeah people change your password if you see some suspicious activity, and tell your friends.

USB Flash Drive That's Really Rugged

May 1, 2007

So i was checking to see if i could find some computer news today, and i came across PC World. They were showing that Corsair, a computer products manufacturing company has created a "rugged" USB flash drive. So i was like "huh, let me check this out.", so i kept reading on. They have it listed there that this flash drive can be run over by 8000lbs and submerged under water at 200ft and you can still present your power point presentation to your boss!! I was like, "WOW, Thats great!!", and it came apparent to me that yeah, this drive could cost in the range of $100 because its so "rugged".

So yeah i keep reading because i want to know the price of the darn thing, and then it shows that they have a 8GB and a 4GB one!! Yeah they're huge!! The 8GB one was listed at $130, and the 4GB was listed at $60. Still, for the 4GB one thats a pretty good price because not too long ago i bought my 1GB for around $70 dollars. Its just insane, these small flash drives just keep getting smaller and smaller with massive increase in size every year!!

So if any of ya'll want to see this for your own eyes, heres the link "Rugged" USB Flash drives. Yeah theres the link for those of you that have to see it to believe it. I mean i own a 4GB flash drive myself and it comes in handy for large files, but with mine, im not garanteed the "ruggedness" as Corsair is with they're new product. So yeah people check it out, and this is some free advertisement for Corsair, im gonna call them up and see if i can get some money for advertising for them =)

Paintball At Tactical Paintball

July 28, 2007

So a while back my friend Sam "freak" Lyons and i went paintballing with the "Red Dawn Paintballers" a team that sams uncle is in. I do have to say that it was one of the most funnest types of paintball that i have experienced. It was scenario type paintball. The field is a good mile by a mile wide with plenty of villages in between and really tall grass making it seem really realistic.

Well any who it was really different from the type of paintball that im used to, and thats tournament style paintball. Its really slow paced and really tactical. Which requires lots of team work. So yeah we were there and my buddy sam was just lighting people up with a stock spyder pilot. That gun isnt bad but it isnt the best gun either. I was pretty suprised that he was taking people out w/ that gun. Yeah he was being all tactical and actually being really successful taking people out.

So yeah if anyone gets a chance to go paintballing got try it out, youll enjoy it!!

Halo Meetups May 4th - May12th

May 3, 2007

Yeah there are going to be some halo meetups in Schertz, Texas which isnt that far, its just like a couple miles east out of San Antoino. They are a pretty decent LAN place, and they have decent equipment and stuff. Their set up is that they have like 16 xboxs all hooked up together, and all the tvs are like 32in+ which is perfect for gaming!!

Yeah they have meetups all through May 4th and May 12th. All the events are $15 and here are some of their times:

May 4th - 7:00pm

May 11th - 7:00pm

May 12th - 6:00pm 2v2 Tourney

Yeah if you want check their site at                           Halo Meetup Information Site

Its a pretty decent place to go play, and they do have lots of MLG rules and stuff. Like for example when they have a big FFA in the beginning to see whose going to take the highest seed, and so forth. And from there you have the whole chart setup of whose gonna play who. So yeah its pretty organized, again ya'll check that out ya'll cheeto heads!!

Halo 3 Beta, on May 16th

May 1, 2007

So for all you halo fanatics, such as myself, the beta is announced to be released on May 16th. Yeah also there has been some halo 3 leaked footage all over the net. There are pics everywhere of what halo 3 can look like, but you never know if those nerds at bungie will change some of that stuff.

So yeah supposidly the maps that are gona be released with the beta are zanzibar and some other one. If ya'll havent seen the beta footage go check it out on youtube or on google videos, if its still up. On one of the videos i saw looked like zanzibar but they added a whole bunch to it. It was nuts! They added like a room under "Froman snipe" and like a spinning thing near rocket ammo. Its just insane!

But you'll only be able to play the beta with one specific game, Crackdown. I set my review of the game under my blogs link and like i said, its a decent game, and its more of a game to have fun with. Just to jump off buildings, blowing stuff up, betraying your coop partner as soon as he spawns, that kind of stuff. But as much as taking the gamer seriously, its not meant for that.

On the beta i know some of us are gonna expect alot, i know i am!! But we can only wait as the programmers of that game "diet on cheetos" to try to finish the beta and have a successful run at it. Ive been hearing stuff around my school that it just might be a "upgrade" from halo 2, and i hope thats not the truth. Because on some of the footage that i saw was pretty amazing. They brought back the h1 pistol, h1 assault rifle and some more weapons that we havent seen in a while.

The gameplay just looks ridiculous, and really addicting. I know when halo 2 came out everyone and their mother was playing!! And maybe the same with the beta and the full version of halo 3. So i hoped this help for those of you that are unsure of getting crackdown to play the h3 beta, but yeah crackdown is a pretty decent game.
